MAKEUP CURRICULUM
This course offers a comprehensive introduction to makeup art and creative principals. This course is no fluff. It is condensed to zero in on the tools and skills that are really needed in this industry. LeiLani wastes no time in getting down to business. Trained in L.A. with 24 years experience in Film and T.V, she is also one of few trained in Canada as a Paramedical Makeup Specialist. As a successful entrepreneur owning and creating a cosmetic line that retails in Pharmasave and Save-On Foods she first hand will teach you how to build your business.
Students will learn Color Theory with reference to makeup application, its function and how it relates to light and how it affects your work.
Technique for blending, contouring, shading and highlighting.
Learning the function of professional tools, products and how they should be used.
You will build skills using natural, glamour, bridal, photography and dramatic runway styles.
You will be placed for work experience in retail beauty locations doing demonstrations, building on skills taught in class.
Students will graduate with real experience for their resume.
Students will build on a portfolio necessary to gain employment or build a business.

• Choosing correct color formulations for foundation, concealer, and powder for different ethnic backgrounds

• Paramedical corrective makeup

• Understanding light while applying makeup
• Application of false eyelashes ( band and individual)
BUILDING YOUR BUSINESS
• Learning about the cosmetic industry
• Understanding market concepts, customer types and client needs
• Developing effective selling skills and presentation techniques when consulting
• How to build a clientele
HAIR FOR BRIDAL AND FASHION
Learn to create the total look and make more money. Incorporate techniques like blow drying, backcombing for the finished look.
Learn “updos”, French twists, and creative sexy curls.
Basic cutting, and blow-dries are introduced

GRADUATION
• A graduation certificate will bearded to the student provided they have met the following.
• Attendance requirement
• Have passing grade on discussion and activities
• Completed all assignments
• A passing score of 75% or higher on written and practical exams
• Paid all monies owed to school in full
