Island Goddess | Prep, Prime and Powder Foundation

Love this foundation. Full coverage and doesn't feel Cakey and looks natural. I live that you need very little and pretty much lasts all day, and isn't an issue when you sweat.

The only thing, like all foundations, it does rub off on collars depending on application and may be harder to get out.

Ocean Surf was dark on me so I haven’t used this all day to see how it was. I usually use Beach Vibes in Sunset and this was perfect. White Sand will definitely be too light for me. Wish they have in between colours for Island Vibes.

I am 67 years old, and I have to say this is by far the best foundation I have ever used. It goes on like a second skin - no settling into wrinkles and lasts all day. I love that the product is also made from health giving ingredients.

This is an update to my first review of 02/11/24:

I was contacted by a different customer service rep after leaving my last review who was much more gracious and pleasant to deal with. She offered to send me a free bottle of the Prep and Prime which was unexpected but a lovely gesture. I chose White Sand this time as I’d used it before and while very light, for the winter it was perfect. Unfortunately I had the same issue as with Ocean Surf - far darker and more orange than previous bottles in the same shade and nowhere near the shades shown on the website (see photo below - left is the first bottle I had, right is the free one I just received). Maybe I was sent one of the “Colour Gone Wrong” bottles?

This time when I emailed back I was told by someone (this email was not signed) the issue was that I had ordered some bottles from other sites than this one, and they couldn’t guarantee the age or storage conditions of anywhere else. She said I should only order from here to guarantee the correct shade. Really?? The SAME DAY I saw a Sweet Leilani ad on Facebook advertising all the different places to purchase these products!!

I see on other sites that sell this product the reviews are the same as mine - the shades are not the same as before and much darker than what is advertised. So I know mine is not an isolated case.

At the moment I have no Prep and Prime that works for me. I’ve loved the product for years and hate to give it up but the inconsistent shades now are not a selling point. Nor are all the excuses as to why they are inconsistent. I’ve never seen this with any other natural product I’ve purchased. Not sure where to go from here.

I’d been buying the same shade for several years when I encountered a problem with a bottle last year. The shade I received was significantly darker than what I’d been using. I sent a photo to customer service clearly showing the difference but the person I dealt with was adamant that there was no difference. Now I see there’s the “Colour Gone Wrong” option so I assume that was the problem with my purchase. I was very unimpressed with the customer service and wasn’t going to repurchase, but now that the error has been admitted I’ll try again. It really is a wonderful product, lightweight but good coverage and my sensitive skin loves the ingredients. I do have difficulty getting to use all the product in the bottle due to its shape and the small opening. I would love to see a redesign of that, or return to the original design.
